We support videos hosted at Brightcove®. This article describes the proper way to set up Brightcove videos for import into knowbly™. If you find you need support for Brightcove but are having difficulty with the steps below, please contact our support team.
Choose “Upload” to add your video to Brightcove.
While creating your video on Brightcove, we find video works best if the Ingest Profile is set to use MP4, either “Multiplatform Extended with MP4 (7 Renditions)” or “Multiplatform Extended with MP4 (8 Renditions).”
Publish from Brightcove
Choose “Media” to publish your video.
Select the video you’d like to publish. Then select Publish and Embed and choose Web Player.
In the screen that comes up, choose the player you’d like to use (Brightcove default or you can setup your own.)
Once you select your player, you can scroll down that screen to obtain the URL for your video. (You can also click the link to open in a new tab and copy that URL.)
Note: Do NOT select Shorten. The short version of the URL will NOT import into knowbly.
Import into knowbly
The full URL for your video should now import into knowbly directly. Simply select New Asset from the content manager, and paste in the URL for your new video.
