You can embed Knowbly content (full courses or just widgets) in Google Sites.
Embed a widget
You can embed a Knowbly widget directly onto a Google Sites page.
In Knowbly, choose a widget you’d like to publish from the Content Manager. Select the 3-dot option menu in the upper right of the widget tile, and choose the publish arrow.
From the publishing window, select the Embed tab at the top. You have a choice to embed as an iframe or as a URL. The iframe embed code will display a window into the widget directly on the page. By URL will display a link.
- For iframe, select the complete embed code.
- For just the url select the portion of the embed code containing only the URL pointed to by the src tag.
For example, if the embed code is the following:
<iframe width="840" height="730" src="https://embed.knowblyapp.com/embed/accordion/5b6c99206060160007af4494" ></iframe>
You can copy just the portion with the URL, which from the above example would be:
Or you can copy the entire code fragment with the <iframe> included.
Next, within Google Sites, use the Embed button to add the code you copied to your Google Sites page.
From the dialog that appears, again you can select to either embed by URL or by using the entire iframe as discussed above. Then click on the Insert button to insert the widget.
Link to a Course by URL
Any Web Standard course can be hosted on a server as Html (see Web Standard Publishing article). Follow the steps to Embed a Widget by URL above to embed a course link.
