Hi Amy - good timing on your question! So while we don't have this feature today, it is coming in our next release (1.20, due out around end of year). This new update will allow you to access and edit the HTML for rich text fields. It does come with a warning - use the no break with care. We design all our output to be reflowable and work well across multiple devices, and adding no breaks can sabotage this (if you put in a no break around a lot of text, on smaller mobile devices this may get shrunk to the point where it is illegible to the student).

Until this next release is out, in the short term you can use our formula editor feature to design and add mathematical formulas to your text fields. The nice thing is formulas added this way will automatically not break (they are treated as images). The formula editor also gives you additional features for higher math and science equations. We don't usually turn this on for every customer by default as they don't need this much math editing, but just reach out to your account manager and they can flip this on for you.

Let us know if we can help further here!

Thanks, Steve. That is super helpful. I'd love to use the formula editor. It is not showing up when I use the multiple-choice assessment widget. Am I missing something?

  • Yes just needed to flip that on for your account, have done so just now (I checked with your account manager and they said this was approved). Just logout and login again to see it, should be here:
